WHAT TYPE OF MOUNTBOARD DO YOU USE ?
We use COLOURMOUNT 1.4mm Whitecore mountboard as standard. But we also stock Alphamat Artcare which can be used if required for an additional cost.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE TO ORDER ?
The outer size you require is determined by the size of the frame you are putting the picture into. So for example if you have a frame with a glass size of 16 x 12 inches that is the size of the mount you need. The aperture of the mount needs to be the size of the image you are framing less approximately 1/4 of an inch so it overlaps the picture slightly thus not falling through the centre. For example if you have a 10 x 8 inch photo you need an aperture of 9 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches.

DO YOUR PRICES INCLUDE VAT ?
Yes all our prices include vat at the current rate.

WHAT IS BACKING BOARD?
Backing boards or undermounts as they are sometimes known are used to strengthen and protect the artwork being framed, We use our white mountboard as a backing board (without an aperture cut out). This should be hinged to the front mount on the back with a suitable tape along one of the longest sides. To do this place the mount with the aperture face down on a table then place the undermount next to it along the longest side then tape along the joint. This creates a book type effect.

WHAT IS YOU RETURNS POLICY?
Returns are accepted by prior arrangement for standard sized mounts provided they have not been used. Please note we cannot accept returns for custom sized mounts made to your
specifications. The postage costs for returning mounts other than any damaged in transit or
supplied in error must be met by you.
